My day started off with making chilaquiles for a few people. Nate and Richard had full portions, Lingo had a taster, and I went for a half portion. The eggs were delicious and it was great to chat with Nate, Richard, and a few others from the group.
I wanted to meet up with Cally and Graeme at PVC and thought they’d text me when they were on their way but we missed each other.
Richard arranged a ride for Nate and Me to get to Idyllwild. The driver was a little scary with her driving. Lots of weaving and distraction with her phone. Seeing how lots of people drive terrifies me, to be honest. I wish I had a nice way to vet rides.
I got off at Nomad Adventures, Idyllwild’s outdoors equipment store. I tried on some packs I’ve been considering since my hip belt on my Gregory keeps breaking. I liked the ULA Catalyst, but they didn’t have one in the color I I wanted in my size, so I ordered one online after calling the guy who owns it.
After getting back, Cally and Graeme, Firestarter, Snickers, and I all went out for some Mexican food. I got some chile colorado and a gigantic michelada, and flan. I was so freaking stuffed but no regrets.
Then we went back to the cabin and talked and went to bed.
Loooots of crazy drivers out there. That’s why I made that comment about you being able to fall asleep in the passenger seat of my car: it’s a sign of trust! The chile colorado makes me think of Los Cazadores. Miss you. ❤️
I meant to comment about being a passenger in a car with a bad/crazy/distracted driver! Beth is one of the few people with whom I feel safe enough to fall asleep!
