Today we went to some hot springs.
Well. We went to one hot spring, and it was too hot. So we went to another spring, but it was “just” a spring — no heat. It had a beautiful view, though, and was nestled in fields of irises.
I helped Lina and Retura figure out what they were going to wear for the wedding and rehearsal they were going to. I love a fashion show!
Afterwards, they went to the brewery the rehearsal was at. I went to a campground (cheaper than a motel!), set up, and went to the same brewery, per their recommendation, for dinner.
I did a good bit of journaling there. There’s something lovely about journaling and writing with the din of a restaurant and a libation.
After the rehearsal, Lina grabbed me with some of her friends to go to their favorite bistro. They all know the owner/head chef and the wait staff. Their friend Jaymie even waited tables there years ago.
The owner gave us a plate of falafel which was to die for. Jaymie ordered a lamb curry which had fingerling potatoes. I wish I had been hungrier; it was all so spectacularly good.
We hung out there, Lina, Retura, Jaymie, and me, until it was time to go. Retura and Lina walked back to Lina’s, and Jaymie took me back to my campsite before she headed home.
It was a really beautiful day filled with lots of great connection. I haven’t felt this fulfilled in a while.
